Elena Chrisman is a doctoral practicum student in the Clinical Psychology (Psy.D.) program at The Chicago School. She recently earned her Master of Arts in Clinical Psychology at The Chicago School and received her bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Lake Forest College in 2023, where she was also a member of the collegiate softball team. Her experiences as a student-athlete helped shape her appreciation for resilience, teamwork, and the importance of balancing personal well-being with life’s demands.

Elena has experience working with individuals across the lifespan in a variety of clinical settings. While she enjoys working with clients of all ages, she is especially passionate about supporting children, adolescents, and young adults as they navigate emotional, behavioral, and developmental challenges. She strives to create a warm, collaborative, and supportive environment where clients feel heard, understood, and empowered to work toward meaningful change.

Her therapeutic approach is grounded in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and systems-oriented principles. Elena recognizes that each person’s experiences are shaped by their relationships, family dynamics, and broader environment, and she works collaboratively with clients to better understand these influences while developing practical skills to manage life’s challenges. She values meeting clients where they are and tailoring treatment to each individual’s unique strengths, goals, and needs.

Elena works with clients experiencing a range of concerns, including anxiety, depression, ADHD, obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD), trauma, adjustment difficulties, and behavioral concerns. She is committed to providing compassionate, evidence-based care and helping clients build resilience, strengthen coping skills, and develop greater confidence as they work toward meaningful and lasting emotional well-being.
